UVM Unified Fitness Club opportunity

Hello Special Olympics Chittenden County Coaches, Family, and Friends,

The University of Vermont Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Science will host an 8-week Unified Fitness Club for people with intellectual disabilities. Athletes ages 16 – 35 are welcome to join. The program will run on Thursdays evenings beginning September 28^th – November 16^th. Spots are limited. 2018 USA Games Announcement

Hello Coaches and Program Leaders!

Special Olympics Vermont is seeking athlete and coach candidates to represent Team Vermont at the 2018 USA Games in Seattle, WA; July 1 – 6, 2018.

Available slots include:

• (1) Female Swimmer*
• (1) Male Swimmer*
• (1) Swimming Coach
• (1) Female Athletics (track & field)*
• (1) Male Athletics (track & field)*
• (1) Athletics Coach

*Events are pre-determined from a list, see full Team Vermont page. 

Applicants must submit the Interest Form no later than September 30^th. All applicants must be age 16+ and fulfill the elements outlined in the USA & World Games Selection Requirements.

2017 VSA Opportunities

Chittenden Track Practice rescheduled to Thursday, 8/24/2017

All, we have rescheduled this week's track practice to Thursday, 8/24/2017, 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the UVM Outdoor track. Please attend if you can.

Chittenden Soccer and Track canceled today, 8/22/2017

All, due to the tornado watch in effect for this afternoon and evening, we are canceling both soccer practice and track practice tonight. Soccer will resume practice on Thursday. We may reschedule track practice for Thursday if the UVM track is available. Watch this blog and your email for an update. Otherwise, track will resume next Tuesday. Thanks, Dave

2017 Chittenden Golf Program

Our Chittenden program will, for the first time in over 10 years, offer a golf program. If you are interested please contact me, 802-865-3840 or dbogdan@ieee.org. Practice will be Wednesday evenings 5:00 - 6:30 PM at the The Kwini Club, 5531 Spear St., Shelburne. Greg Clairmont will be head coach. The golf tournament will be at Fall Games, September 23rd and 24th.

EDD Adaptive Soccer Clinic - Saturday August 26th

Hello friends,

I hope that you are enjoying some summer fun in between the rain storms!  Here is the date for our next adaptive soccer clinic at St. Michael's College, in case you want to join us for some late-summer soccer fun.  

The clinic will be Saturday, August 26th at 10am at St. Michael's College.  I will send out another reminder in August, but feel free to register now if you would like to sign up.  Simply reply to this email or use our online registration form.
