2009 Bowl-A-Thon Fundraiser

TO BENEFIT SPECIAL OLYMPICS VERMONT

CHITTENDEN DELEGATION BOWLING PROGRAM

When: July 12, 2009

Where: Champlain Lanes, 2630 Shelburne Road, Shelburne, VT

Time: 12:00 Noon & 3:00 pm (second session dependent upon number of entrants).

Details:

• Anyone interested in participating in our Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser may pre-register by calling Karen & Dave Bogdan at 865-3840. When pre-registering, please leave your name and day-time phone number along with the names of your teammates (maximum 4 people per team) if you want to bowl as a team on the day of the event. You do not have to have a full team to participate. You may still participate on Sunday without pre-registering and we encourage you to try to join in this fun fundraiser!
  
• Each participant must raise a minimum of $100.00 to participate. We encourage you to compete for one of 15 top fundraiser trophies.
• Champlain Lanes will be awarding a $25 gift certificate to the 3 top fund raisers. Champlain Lanes will also give a coupon for one free game to each participant.
  
• Bring your donation form(s) and pledge money with you the day of the event.

2009 Summer Games June 5, 6, 7

Our athletes have been hard at work training for the last 8 to 10 weeks in preparation for Summer Games this coming weekend at the University of Vermont. The overview of schedule of events is:

Friday June 5th
4:00 - 5:00pm Check in for those staying overnight at UVM
5:30 - 6:15pm Dinner at Harris Millis Commons Dining (credentialed individuals only)
6:15pm Line up for Parade
6:40 - 7:00pm Law Enforcement Torch Run final Leg from Windjammer to UVM Opening Ceremonies
7:00pm Opening Ceremonies

Saturday June 6th
10:00 – 4:00pm Olympic Town / Healthy Athlete /Merchandise Sales
9:15 – 12:00 Competition – Athletics, Bocce and Softball
9:15 – 1:30 Competition - Aquatics
12:00 – 1:00 Lunch (credentialed individuals only)
1:00 – 4:30pm Competition Resumes
5:00pm Entertainment-Olympic Town- Big tent
5:30 – 6:30 pm Dinner (credentialed individuals only)

One last but important request, please consider supporting the Chittenden Program through the Adopt-A-Cop fund raiser. Sgt. Timothy Bilodeau will be running in the Law Enforcement Torch Run on behalf of Chittenden and you may adopt him by donating on-line at: http://www.firstgiving.com/chittenden -- All proceeds from Adopt-A-Cop donations to Tim go directly to the Chittenden Program.

2009 Chittenden Track and Field practice schedule

Track and Field begins on Wednesday April 22nd and will be held every Wednesday through June 3rd, 6:00 PM till 7:30 PM at the Hunt Middle School track in Burlington.

Hunt Middle School is just off of North Ave in Burlington on Goss Ct. If you are coming from down town heading north on North Ave, turn right onto Goss Ct which is the second right after Ethan Allen shopping center. If you are heading south on North Ave from Colchester, turn left onto Goss Ct. There is a Shell gas station on the corner of Goss Ct and North Ave. The Hunt Middle School driveway entrance is the first left on Goss Ct.
